We love a cocktail with an origin story! 💡 Have you tried our original mixed shot Dark Academia? It was definitely one of the most popular mini drinks last year and we can understand why - who doesn’t die for the dark, sweet combo of @mrblackspirits and @frangelico ☕️ yum!

So of course, we had many requests to turn your favorite shot into a full-sized cocktail of its own! So we added a bit more of the star ingredients (especially the coffee liqueur!) and topped it off with a ~cheeky~ pour of vodka 😚 garnished with an amaretto-soaked cherry, it’s the perfect drink for coffee lovers who want to branch out from the classic espresso martini 😉

And as a final endorsement, I do believe it’s the favorite cocktail of our monthly writers group ✍🏻 and I think that it maybe even goes without saying that writers usually know their booze quite well! 🤭💖

March book clubs! 🤗

Reading is so cool because words are just zooming through your eyeballs into the infinite depths of your little squishy brain! And a STORY is just… HAPPENING there. Love it. But sometimes you want to unleash the brain and attempt to connect it with mouth. That’s where book club comes in! 🤠

Sometimes people tell me they’re nervous to go to their first book club meeting. I get it, I’ve been to some not-so-nice book clubs in my time 😵‍💫 but here I can truly say the groups are all super friendly and welcoming. It’s a very casual and social experience, but they do really dig deep into the book and discuss a range of topics at the same time. Bring notes, or don’t. Play devil’s advocate, or don’t. Sass the main character, or don’t! But always be respectful ✌️

In March we have the following book clubs:
Science Fiction - Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams 👽 (12/3)

🔮 An event we’ve wanted for a long time, finally manifested! Our friend @grozna.svina will visit us for a few hours to give personalized tarot readings. She kindly accepts “pay what you feel” so that this month’s event is accessible for everyone, and you can have a longer/shorter reading as you wish. Show your support and we can welcome her back every month 🥰

🏳️‍🌈 Near the end of the month you can visit our Queer Pop-up Market presented by @blackbileproductionscom and @vinnysekyra 🤩 lots of different items will be available - LGBTQ+ clothing and accessories, drag/costume pieces, and merch from some local performers! As part of our festive month of Halloween events we invited local bat rescue ZO CŠOP Nyctalus to join us for an evening of spooky animal wonder! 😍

We watched an amazing documentary about bats in Czech Republic before taking part in an interactive presentation about bats all across Europe! Then, of course, the moment we will all remember most fondly - we got to pet soft little bat butts and we cleared our phone’s camera roll to become the official BATTARAZZI 📸📸📸 bats bats bats

Not only did we cry with joy from the deepest, darkest part of our hearts - but we also spread that joy to our batty friends with the most useful gift in our modern capitalist hellscape: cold hard CASH! We raised 2530kc through our themed cocktail menu, cute coloring books, and just plain generous donations 🥰
